Dr. Brock Karben is co‑owner of Lifetime Vision Care, where he provides comprehensive eye care with an additional focus on medically necessary and specialty contact lenses. He is known throughout Central Oregon for his expertise in fitting complex lenses, including scleral lenses, and colleagues frequently refer patients to him for hard‑to‑fit cases and custom lens design.
In addition to specialty contact lens care, Dr. Karben diagnoses binocular vision conditions and collaborates on treatment plans for vision therapy. He is committed to taking the time to clearly explain conditions and treatment options, helping patients understand their vision and feel confident in their care.
A northwestern native, Dr. Karben grew up in a small town in Washington State. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington State University and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University. Before joining Lifetime Vision Care, he spent eight years with EyeHealth Northwest, a respected ophthalmology group in Portland, Oregon.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Karben is deeply rooted in the Bend community. He and his wife, Dr. Emily Karben, stay busy with their three children, two daughters and a son, who are active in local sports. He enjoys coaching their teams and spending time with his family outdoors. When he can carve out time, you’ll find him fly fishing on Central Oregon’s rivers and beyond. The family’s golden retriever, Pretzel, is usually close by for the adventure.
